La Cense Horses: Simba & T.J.
La Cense Montana Ranch.........what can we say? It was one of the most wonderful and fulfilling experiences of our lives. From the moment we stepped off the plane, we thought to ourselves, "We're home!" That was of course until we approached "the ranch!" From the snow capped mountains to the endless prairies, we thought we were in paradise. Cows were gently grazing in the distance, and then we saw them . . . the horses. Standing with their herds, the 2 year olds up to the 4 year olds living among each other in such a natural setting; one of the most beautiful sights we've yet to see. It was so peaceful and quiet you forgot you weren't alone. Coming from the east coast, this is a vision we had not been privileged to see.
Upon our arrival we were greeted with warm smiles and generous hospitality. Everyone we encountered was especially kind and went out of their way to welcome us. When it came time to "get to work," it was amazing to watch the expertise of the trainers/ instructors and what they were capable of accomplishing with these majestic creatures. Truly incredible! When the time came for us to try our hand with the candidate horses we found it beyond what we had expected. They were all so wonderful it was very hard for each of us to choose only one! They are exceptionally trained and, at only four years old, they seemed well beyond their years. What wonderful companions our horses will be, and we are so looking forward to a lifelong friendship, not only with our horses, but with the people at our other home, La Cense Montana Ranch.
