La Cense Montana is dedicated to educating both horses and humans in the principles of natural horsemanship. With 88,000 acres of outdoor training facilities as well as state-of-the art La Cense offers a number of educational opportunities for interested students.

  • LEVEL 4 PARELLI COLT START & FOUNDATION TRAINING
    La Cense Montana is the only ranch in the United States to offer these two high level PNH courses. The Foundation Training Module and Colt Start Course provides Parelli Level 3 graduates with intensive, advanced training in starting unhandled two year-old horses and teaching these young horses the basics of a natural horsemanship education.

  • UNIVERSITY OF MONTANA-WESTERN NATURAL HORSEMANSHIP PROGRAM AND CLINICS
    La Cense Montana is affiliated with the University of Montana-Western in Dillon, participating in the AAS and BS degree programs in Equine Studies and working cooperatively with both the equestrian and rodeo teams. College credit is also available for taking natural horsemanship clinics provided by La Cense.

    La Cense is committed to providing our horses and our students with the best in natural horsemanship education. To that end, La Cense is pleased to host clinics with some of the world's finest horsemen. We kick off the Visiting Horse Clinician Series with master horseman Ray Hunt on June 11-13, 2005.

FACILITIES
La Cense Montana is home to state-of-the-art horse training facilities including a 60,000 square foot (230' x 110') indoor arena, a 220' x 110 outdoor arena, two 60' round pens and a full horse playground. Students are free to use the gathering room in the main ranch office to relax or communicate back home via email in their spare time.

Because of its large, 88,000 acre size, La Cense Montana is able to offer students a wide variety of riding environments including open range riding, mountain trail riding, and cow work, all with spectacular views of southwestern Montana's open grasslands, rivers, and timbered slopes.
