Ray Hunt Comes to La Cense Montana

Spend three days with master horseman Ray Hunt as he shares his philosophy on how to achieve harmony with your horse.

"When you ask your horse to do something, it should be his idea....he wants to do it, he likes to do it, he understands how to do it, and he does it." -Ray Hunt

The clinics will be held June 11-13, 2005 at the La Cense Montana ranch in Dillon, Montana. La Cense Montana is dedicated to developing premium recreational Quarter Horses according to the principles of natural horsemanship.

Horsemanship Clinic:
All 20 participation spots have been filled for this clinic. If you'd like to be added to a waiting list, please email us at info@lacensemontana.com.

9am to 12pm, June 11th, 12th, and 13th. This class is for horses and riders who wish to advance their horsemanship. Ray instructs riders in methods for getting their horses to mentally and physically turn loose. Horse and riders attain a physical and mental harmony using flexing exercises.

The Horsemanship class is for horses that are currently being ridden. The tack can be English or Western. Ray does not teach style of riding, he teaches horsemanship. Riders are advised to ride their horse in whatever headgear they have been using. Ray might suggest a different bit after the first day.

Cow Working Clinic:
1pm - 4pm, June 11th, 12th, and 13th. Ray introduces participating horse and riders to the art of cow working. "Horse/Rider" teams will learn how being in harmony with your horse allows you to read and more effectively control the cow.

No previous cow working experience for horse or rider required.

Participants must bring their own horse(s) for the clinics. Proof of negative Coggins test and vaccination report required.

Participant Fee:
Cow Working Clinic: $400
